Award Winning Wellbeing with a Difference
The What
- Our people centred sessions enable and empower attendees to start and facilitate conversations around mental health and wellbeing for themselves and others, both in and outside the school space.
- We look at personal responsibility and ownership, alongside collective accountability. Our approach links into your existing support with navigation into our nationwide partners. We focus on prevention and healthy conversations in the good times as well as in the challenge. This makes us accessible to all your team.
- We work with you for an initial six-sessions. I have attached an overview and a little more detail below. This is where we feel we are different and it’s what turns our training into a culture changing, sustainable model for your school. Covering personal development and culture change, each session has the conversation around wellbeing at its core.
The How
- Groups of up to 16 staff members. We ask staff to attend each session, however based on our approach colleagues will be able to catch others up if one is missed.
- Prior to Session One we will meet up to chat through your why’s and what you want to get out of our work together. We link closely to existing wellbeing strategies, to complement and enhance what is already in place. We review after Session 3 and on the conclusion of Session 6, to discuss next steps.
- Sessions are 2 hours in length, with time pre and post to connect and a little break in the middle. Ideal for an INSET day.
- We deliver sessions to suit your timetable, so it doesn’t disrupt too much and adds enough time for embedding back into the space.
- Sessions can be delivered in house or at an off-site venue if required.

The Value
Session 1 – Mind Your Language
This session investigates the language we use around mental health and wellbeing and the stigmas attached to the vocabulary surrounding them. We look at mind traps and what hinders our positive conversation.
Session 2 – Real Conversation
Using the James song Sit Down as a starting point, this session is all about conversation. What does a positive conversation look like and how do we create the best environments to have supportive conversations with others, both in and outside work.
Session 3 – The Art of Listening
There is no point starting a conversation if we don’t listen to the response. A very practical session which investigates the skill of active listening, both in conversations of support but also in the day to day of work. Looking at how we like to feel heard and reflecting that back onto how others feel heard and valued.
Session 4 – Identity
This session is a little more focused on the individual, as we look at what makes us us. How we see ourselves and how others see us helps us to better understand those we are trying to support. A positive session designed to enhance the values of team, alongside an understanding of what it’s like to ‘walk in someone else’s shoes’.
Session 5 – FEAR
What gets in our way when it comes to supporting others or starting difficult conversations? This session provides hints and tips to overcome the hurdles that stop people from reaching out to colleagues, friends and family. Looking in more depth at our support roles and how much we should take on and when we should let go.
Session 6 – Courage
Can you have courage without FEAR? The sixth session of Season 1 provides greater understanding and clarity of what enables courage and what gets in your way. With a focus on authenticity and genuine care, this session is about breaking down barriers and taking steps into courageous decisions and conversations.
